Fela is the president of the GEMSTONE Nation Builders Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization focused on training youths towards transformational leadership and social change. He was the Nigerian presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria party (ANN) for the 2019 presidential elections.

In 2023, he was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the President — National Values & Social Justice for Bola Tinubu’s administration.
